Do you see these sharp mountains behind? It has a wild finishing to it’s skin which is bruised by the frequent landslides. But still continues to stand huge, strong & still. Are you getting me?

In the past few months after travelling into this heavenly district of Uttarakhand, I have been surrounded with people that have never seen more than what was made visible to them by their tiny doors. Everyday I interact with many people who have lost the hope of climbing down these mountains and migrating to a better place. Also children who have no clue how a city looks like or even had an experience of a bus or train ride.

These experiences have formed a baggage of emotions within me and everyday I think of ways to be a part of their lives. I crave to create a fairyland for them all. So that I return to my city with a hope that someday many of these kids might come down to meet me with all their achievements.

Sharing my experiences & challenges that I am overcoming everyday.

I’ve seen land slides and slipped down several times while trekking towards the government schools. While I walk I always dare to look above myself with worried predictions of huge stones sliding above me. I never knew how the earthquakes makes one feel like, till I experienced it twice in Bageshwar District. Even though it was just a shaky experience but you never know what it could have resulted into. Recently I met with an accident and have a sprained ankle unrecoverably fine. Because it is very cold here and I can’t expect urban medications. So I’m playing a strong character who still chooses to work for my contribution in development.

I have mostly traveled on the edge of the roads looking at how deep the hills are and wondered what if will happen if I die? No one might even find my traces.

Every strangers welcoming smile that was adorable, alarmed me of being on a safer side in the deep forest roads of these remote locations.Because they say this place includes huge alcoholism and fear of leopards. But where are we safe on this earth? No where. These are all challenges that I chose to accept and this is why I’m walking ahead without turning behind.

Between these beautiful disasters I have found how beautiful my life could be.
