So as it says Shrikhand Mahadev, it is a religious place somewhere on altitude of 18000 feet in Himalayas and also it is One of the Kailash among Panch Kailash. Every year trek opens for a period of 15-20 days but only few climb it to the top in off season as everything except top is well covered by snow.

So we were 3 who somehow successfully made a sudden plan to Shrikhand Mahadev, as we reach Rampur, Shimla locals from there gave us some information about the trek and said there was a cloud burst yesterday night so the way might be closed as one among us said let’s see and we reached Jaon (a small village in woods  on high mountains of Shimla) from where trek starts.

So as we were to start I saw there is a trunk of single tree which we have to cross in order to reach the other side of the river( which is flowing fully heavily, cloud burst) somehow a local pulled me there with a stick and then we start the trek it was 8 km we have to walk (steepest way in the whole trip ) , we walked with the satluj river’s branch glacier and after rest for the day starts the day 2 when the one among us left to down and then we 2 start in the rain, sunkissed, in Jungles and then after whole day we reached bheem dwar in between a lot of photos and walk and view.

On day 3 we left for top which was better to left before sunrise as one may shocked to see like what where I have to go. Then comes Parvati Baag where if anyone tries to smell flowers just faints and it is the last place where one sees greenery if going ahead.

Then comes Nainsarovar and then after walking over glaciers there comes the destination.

18000 Feet above pound for bathing

Nain Sarovar – formed by the tears of Maa Parvati hence everyone took a bath before proceeding ahead

I got slipped on the glacier while we were heading back and one bhakt saves my life as we are friends now. We reached back bheem dwar and next day we left for down and to college back.

So it was the unplanned trip full of adventure, thrill, randomness in Himalayas. Seeking for more fun.

A lifetime journey (yatra)
Shrikhand Mahadev – A beautiful view captured after covering the most steepest part of the trip. Trip starts from a point where luckily you have to cross a pull over satluj if available. When I visited, due to a cloud burst that pull was destroyed and somehow we managed to cross the side by walking on trunk of some tree

Kaali MAa – a temple of kaali maata is situated, here you will feel for the first time the change in oxygen level, your lighters won’t blow after this point.
Bheem Talaab (A pound made by Bheem (Strongest one among Pandavas)
Scary, Thrill, Dangerous but Never Boring
