It all began with a quest for an adventure crammed into the span of 7 days. The million-dollar question pops up as usual… hills or the ocean? Weighing the pros and cons of both, and because of the fact that it was winter (we enjoyed the cold and the dressing up in leather jackets and layers!), hills were finalized. An overnight train to New Jalpaiguri, a few drowsy hours spent shivering and yawning at the station and the car sets off, at the crack of dawn on the six-hour drive to Gangtok. The pictures should explain the rest.

Wow! I used to live in the city some 17 years back ! A lot of things seem to have changed. The M G Road looks emptier now. Back then it used packed with shared taxis and bustling traffic.
