His name is SoMo. I met him while on a trek to Namtso Lake in Tibet.  I had wanted to travel to Tibet for years and when I discovered the Chinese were creating a railroad that would lead directly into Lhasa and once that happened I knew things would never be the same and time was of the essence if I wanted to experience the real Tibet.

I set out from the United States of America and landed in Beijing, then on to Chengdu and eventually arrived in Lhasa by plane. I met some fellow backpackers that were planning a small trek to Namtso Lake in the north and they were looking for a 4th companion to share experience with.  I agreed and joined them.  So much happened on that journey, I have so many images to share but will start with this sweet Tibetan boy named SoMo.  We could barely communicate verbally, but that didn’t matter, we understood, each other. This image was taken after we climbed a big hill overlooking part of the lake and camp. I remember it like it was yesterday. This boy touched my soul. #sonjarevellsphotography
