The  Kasol  Coming

Little did I know about the place where I was about to step into, a new journey, a new start to self realization and most of my transformations to the extremities of peacefulness…  Kasol a very new name to excite , the imaginary flashes of Himalayas and the most of it was the upcoming  Trek, chilling my blood.

This is how it started- Website log in Adventure Nation~Sar Pass Trek~Payment~Batch 2~”Kailash Rath Voucher”~Done! The level of excitement that was built in doubled itself and the craziness emulsified equalizing to the peaks of Himalayas… The countdown followed by flashing my happiness and achievement on Facebook  to have decided on a Trek for peacefulness , counted on the unusual side.

Hotel Woodward, Kasol, Himachal Pradesh

Treks and Peace… is a ‘Naaaaah’ for most in this world as, in general people prefer a site seeing, Visiting Monasteries and road trips… but luckily with me things were all different and bound to be done an unusual way…  I chose Sar Pass, a divine destiny….  A meet with Heaven.. A heaven that heaves one’s Innate.

To the countdown when came to null was my journey day, 8th of May and I reached Delhi.  The more the days kept calling me for the ultimate, the more did my pride raged for its eternity. The day followed by bagging in the Trekking gears, Warmers to comfort, Snow Jacket in a hope to experience the “White Rain”… Shoes, and many more, I name it ‘Trek Essentials’.  That  Decathlon bag on my  shoulders  fluttering the happiness of  a Solo Trek  filled in me a roar of confidence to achieve my Destiny to Peace.

The day passed ticking on the checklist—

  1. Rucksack
  2. Warmers
  3. Sweat proof tee and pants
  4. Woollen pullovers
  5. Snow Jacket
  6. 5 pairs of socks
  7. Waterproof Gloves
  8. Trek Pole
  9. Trek Shoes.
  10. Sunscreen
  11. Moisturizer and Baby Wipes

and having prepared myself  to board  a long way to Bhuntar, there struck a sweet nervousness ….. Nervousness to say- how well would I be able to consume the Beauty of The Himalayas? that Vast Vicinity of Pristine, that Picturesque and the gullibility of the nature to give away all what it has, to everyone and demand nothing but return its purity and cleanliness in its original form thus stood my nervousness…’

The very fresh Himalayan Breeze woke me up to the subtle sunrise  and inculcated a feeling of victory already and the doors of the bus opened… It was Kasol!!!!

A different land , a different society and a place which tells a different story to its visitors…..The feel I had at the first base camp , Kasol , it was more of a homecoming…The feel to never leave the place and get settled with the unbeatable crunch of atmosphere and those flawless breeze challenging your inner capabilities was itself impeccable. What more should I tell about the place? The mists that flew in the streams of water surrounded by the hugs of Parvati valley, the clinches of crystals what reflected from beneath the calmness of the non tussling rocks lied Kasol.

Kasol Maket

Kasol had mystique unity of the travelers both descending from and ascending to the beauty of Himalayas , The mountains which talked both nostalgia and surrealism fenced in me the curiosity of exploring The Giants!!  Kasol I would say was more of a teaser and an epic trailer to what Sar pass would look like and having said that it held a conjunction to the excitement and numerous trails and footprints of ‘self’  we gotten to make while the trek , hiking for the surrender to “The Himalayas.”

The miraculous purity that lied in the Pahadi food with hot flashes of ‘Thukpa’ and the mouth endeavoring Momos were remarkable. Wait, Am I missing out anything? Mmmm…..The Pahadi dogs were the cutest souls i could ever see in my lifetime..  Thus together fulfilling every nook and corners from foreigners visiting, to those friendly home-stays to the ever beaming Pahadis,  The glimpse proved that it was a real Kasol thing.!!!!!
